Winter Care Packages
Thank You!
Our Winter 2021-2022 project has now come to a close. With your generous support we were able to make over 100 care packages which were donated to Chi-Care to be distributed throughout the Chicagoland region. We also supplied 6+ boxes of handwarmers, lotion, facemasks, and food items to The Love Fridge with extras left over from care package assembly.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped us put together the care packages, to all those who donated items and money, and to our partners for taking the care packages and helping distribute them.

The Project
This winter, Janice and I are making care packages for our houseless neighbors. Winter is a terrible time to be without reliable shelter and small acts of generosity can go a long way to help those around us who need a little extra support this time of year.
Our goal is to create 300 care packages to give out throughout this winter. We know we can do it, especially with your support.
Please join us by donating items, either via our Amazon Wishlist or directly by dropping off donation items at either of our houses. Cash donations are also welcomed and all proceeds will go toward supplies for care packages.
All donations are welcome and no gift is too small.

Cash donation
We can accept donations via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, check or cash. Please email Gia or Janice to arrange.
Donation drop off
Donations can be left on the front porch of either Janice or Gia’s homes. Please email to coordinate a drop-off, or to arrange a pick-up. Please see the Care Package list above for requested items. For clothing items we are looking for new and unused items only. Handmade hats and gloves welcome. Thank you for your support!

We have set up an Amazon Wishlist but we are happy to accept donations from wherever you chose to shop.
Take and Make
Are you interested in making some care packages? Do you have a group of friends or a club who would be interested in helping to assemble some? Host a house party with friends and family or join us at our upcoming Care Package Packing Party. More details coming soon!

We have two convenient drop-off locations for any donated items. We are happy to arrange a pick-up as well.
